My memories of a LEGEND!

My Dad has always had a passion for sport, he used to play a lot of Football as a youngster and also throughout adulthood (and as i've been told over the years) was pretty DAMN GOOD, though absolutely hated to lose (yes my dad was a very sore loser)! Dad would always have the sports channels on if he was watching tv, whether it was football, rugby, cricket, athletics, formula 1, tennis, bowls, darts, boxing (it was very much like, you name a sport and my dad would watch it) as you can tell he was sports MAD! Dad was also very passionate about dominoes/crib and had his own team that he would play in every tuesday and thursday evening, often coming home afterwards stating that he was the best dominoes player in Hampshire (modest through & through) bless him, though to be honest, I don't think he was far wrong. My dad just happened to be one of the lucky ones, who was naturally good at pretty much anything he turned his hand to. My dad was always the life & soul of the party, always the one making people laugh and cracking jokes, though he absolutely hated anybody laughing at him, which always baffled me, but oh well. My Dad had a heart of gold, was caring, warm, friendly, kind, considerate, loving, hard working, generous and would do anything for anyone. He always put others first, in everything he did in life, even when his time was coming to an end, he'd worry about my Mum having to struggle and do everything around the house or my Sister, Brother and I. My dad was the heart and soul of our family, was a very influential man, who touched so many different people's lives and most importantly was an absolute INSPIRATION and LEGEND! Finally just to say my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2008, which quickly spread to his liver and lungs. We then found out that it had also metastasised to his bones and on top of all of the above, he was also diagnosed with a brain tumour. My amazing dad, never once complained, got angry or upset and he never once said "why me?" DAD, your'll forever and always be in our HEARTS and "YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE" RIP
